Description

Mid 19th century, 2-storey, 3-bay house, formerly with shops at ground (?), sited on falling ground. Whinstone rubble with ashlar dressings, base, lintel and eaves courses, moulded cornice, rusticated quoins and some jambs. Painted rubble to end gable. Window at centre at ground, flanked to right by broad, 2-leaf doorway and by standard door to left, both with letterbox fanlights; timber-mullioned bipartite to outer left, single window to outer right. 1st floor window to left of gable end. Plate glass glazing in sash and case windows. Ashlar coped skews with gablet skewblocks; broad stone stacks with full complement of cans. Purple slates; tiles to rear with rooflights.

No 6 possresses some fine detail and retains its timber windows and slate roof.
