Description

Early 19th century. Single storey cottage with lower single storey piend-roofed addition on falling ground, sub-divided into 2 cottages. Whinstone rubble with painted ashlar dressings, painted whinstone to No 28, to right of pair; rusticated quoins. No 26: 3-bay; door to right, window at centre and further door formed to left hard against neighbouring property, No 24, by enclosing passage and roofing over as pend. Plate glass sash and case window. Flat-roofed 1950s dormer. No 28: door to left, flanked by window. Window to lower addition to outer right, linked to earlier cottage with interlocking quoins. MOdern windows and rooflight. Both cottages with modern, deep-set doors and rectangular fanlights. Graduated grey slates. Red sandstone rustication to broad stack to right of original cottage.
