Description

Early to earlier 19th century. 2-storey 2-bay house. Granite ashlar frontage (possibly a later refronting of earlier property), with band and eaves courses. Windows to both bays at ground and 1st floor, originally with doors flanking at ground, that to left now blocked with granite, that to right with letterbox fanlight, modern door. Modern UPVC windowsslate roof. Mutual gable stack to left notably merged with adjoining property. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

Statement of Interest

Listed as an early instance of the unusual use of granite in such an extensive manner in Wigtown. Modern windows installed without consent. Slated 1993.
