Description

Mid 19th century gardeners' cottages sited to NE of walled garden. Single storey piended range with lower, slightly later addition (between OS surveys of 1853 and 1893) at rear of No 145 forming L-plan. Rubble with ashlar dressings and render/harl pointing.

NE (FRONT) ELEVATION: main range probably originally single cottage with central door and 2 windows left and right. Outer left opening now door with letterbox fanlight over, also later, smaller window to outer left.

REAR: glazed door to centre, window to left, one opening blocked. Wing to No 145 has canted link in angle with window, door and window to rear.

Boarded timber doors with decorative cast-iron hinges, timber sash and case windows with small-pane glazing.

Grey slates, 2 coped ashlar ridge stacks with simple cornice and moulded thackstane (ornamental), 2 to rear wing similarly detailed.
