Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay, shop and tenement. Stugged coursers, slate roof, 2 ashlar-coped skews with skew blocks, corniced ashlar ridge stack; band course to 1st floor and eaves; out-of-character modern frames to 1st floor windows, canted 2-pane dormers with piended roofs and out-of-character modern frames.

FRONT ELEVATION: pilastered 3-bay shopfront, door with astragalled fanlight to right, 3 windows to 1st floor, 2 dormers.

INTERIOR: not seen.

Statement of Interest

This building appears to be slightly later than the adjoining 17 High Street and 1 Alma Place, but is clearly of similar design and important for the completeness of the block.
