Description

Later 19th century with later additions and alterations. 2-storey with attic, 3-bay terraced tenement with shop at ground. Painted droved ashlar with polished ashlar at ground; painted squared and snecked whinstone at 1st floor with polished raised margins, droved ashlar tails; painted whinstone rubble to rear. Band course at lintel-height of ground floor windows.

NE (KIRK WYND) ELEVATION: regularly-disposed windows to each bay of 1st floor. Glazed door at ground to left of centre with 4-fixed-pane shop windows flanking; pedestrian pend-entrance to outer right.

SW ELEVATION: single storey addition with stairs leading to modern door to centre at 1st floor flanked by windows.

12-pane timber sash and case windows to NE. Slate roof with droved ashlar coped mutual stacks. Half-piended canted 3-light dormers to each outer bay of NE elevation. 2-pane 19th century rooflights to SW.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1996.

The site, although built upon in 1823, was unoccupied in 1858.
