Description

Earlier 19th century, altered at ground. 3-storey and attic, 9-bay above ground (grouped 6-3), former sailor's home. Polished ashlar, painted above ground; painted margins. Eaves course; aprons to ground floor windows.

S (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: bays to left (slightly lower) with timber door with plate glass fanlight to left of centre, 3 windows to right and further door beyond to right, modern shop to outer left: bays to right with timber door and plate glass fanlight to outer right and

3 windows to left. 1st and 2nd floors with regular fenestration, bay

1 to 1st floor and bay 2 to 2nd floor blocked. 3 dormer windows over left block, 2 over right, all piended and slate hung.

12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows to ground and 1st floor bays 2 to 6; modern glazing elsewhere. Grey slates. Coped brick stacks with cans and ashlar-coped skews.
