Statement of Interest

The cottage is positioned near to the walled garden and gazebo/summer house. It is part of what used to be the Blackadder estate. The estate was divided and sold in 1925 and the house was demolished soon after. The cottage is a picturesque building which was intended to be seen by guests and those going to look at the walled garden, from the house. In the sales particulars there is mentioned "a superior stone-built Head Gardener's House" (p7).
