18th century. 2 storey and attic, 3 bay symmetrical haa with 2 bay gables. Lime harl pointed rubble walls with stugged and droved sandstone ashlar dressings.
W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical, entrance door centred at ground with windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration at 1st floor.
S GABLE: near symmetrical, windows in bays at 1st floor, partially infilled window to attic in bay to left.
E (REAR) ELEVATION: asymmetrical 3 bay elevation; small window centred at ground, door adjacent to right and window to outer left. Small window centred at 1st floor with partially infilled windows in outer bays.
Stone slab roof, now collapsed.
INTERIOR: large segmental arched opening at ground in N gable (possibly lintel or safe lintel of kitchen fireplace).
WALLS AND OUTBUILDINGS: rectangular enclosure with random rubble wall adjacent to W elevation with 2 chamber random rubble outbuilding at NW corner. Additional outbuilding with S gable surviving adjacent to E of house.
A fine example of a Shetland Haa in a ruinous (1996), but unaltered state, sited in a particularly spectacular location.
