Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan classical house. Ashlar to front and E side, channelled rustication at ground floor, harled to W side and rear, all painted. Base course and 1st floor cill cornice to front and sides, part blocking course. Rusticated quoins. Portico to entrance front.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Central flued Roman Doric portico with deep cornice tripartite windows flanking, without margins in shallow full-height advanced bays. Architraved window to centre of 1st floor, architraved tripartites flanking.

E ELEVATION: symmetrical. 3 bays. Continuation of ashlar from N elevation. Ground floor windows without margins, 1st floor architraved.

S ELEVATION: symmetrical single bay. Plain entrance door to centre, window above with plain margins.

W ELEVATION: asymmetrical. 2 bays, one bay to centre, bay to right offset at 1st floor, plain margins.

Replacement windows. Shallow piended roof in grey slate. Shouldered wallhead stacks to centre of E and W elevations.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.
