Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular plan house. Painted ashlar front, harled to sides, moulded ashlar margins.

NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central pilastered and corniced doorpiece, flanking bays symmetrical with windows at ground and 1st floors.

NE ELEVATION: gable end, windows at ground and 1st floors, plain margins.

SW ELEVATION: blank gable end.

Modern replacement windows and front door, skylight to N, grey/brown slate, stone skews, ashlar gablehead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

Statement of Interest

To same design as No 44 but without window to centre at 1st floor. Traditional property on prominant harbour side location. Part of the Harbour Street B Group, Nos 40-58.
