Description

Earlier 19th century. 3-storey, 3-bay tenement with shop at ground. Whinstone and sandstone rubble, painted ashlar front with cill bands, cornice, blocking course and giant pilasters (intercepted by neighbouring tenements). Modern shopfront at ground. Corniced windows at 1st floor, regular windows at 2nd, moulded dies terminating blocking course at heads of pilasters.

Timber sash and case windows with 2-pane upper sashes and plate glass lowers. Coped ashlar gablehead stacks.

Statement of Interest

Once a fine classical tenement, now retaining potential to return to such with introduction of an in-character shopfront.
