Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey with attic, 3-bay rectangular-plan end-of-terrace cottage. Harl; painted rubble to side. Painted margins to windows.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: decorative, consoled corniced doorpiece to centre; flanking single windows. Dormers to outer left and right at attic.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows; rooflight. Grey slate roof; stone skews; octagonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: rubble boundary wall to outer right; coped gatepiers to timber garage gates.

Statement of Interest

The cottage is distinguished from the other cottages in the terrace by its consoled doorpiece and the retention of its original windows. Its neighbour (with the exception of its dormers) retains much of its original features and contributes to the streetscape.
