Description

Early 19th century with later alterations and additions. Single storey with attic, 3-bay rectangular-plan symmetrical cottage adjoining No 19 to W, (see notes) built on ground falling to E, with single storey 3-bay lean-to addition to rear. Harled with painted cement margins to openings.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: replacement timber panelled door at ground in bay to centre. Window at ground with attic window breaking eaves above in each bay flanking.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: forming S side of courtyard to rear. Window in bay to centre. Window in bay to right. Part-glazed timber panelled door in bay to left.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: single storey rubble workshop (No 15) adjoining to blank gabled elevation.

12- and 15-pane timber sash and case windows. Graded Caithness slates; stone ridge; flush rooflight to N pitch; harled gablehead stack to E; re-harled and coped common ridge stack to W; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1997.
