Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, piend-roofed former linen works. Bull-faced, squared and snecked rubble with ashlar quoins. Base and eaves courses. Stone mullions and stop-chamfered arrises.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Pedimented and pilastered doorcase to centre with moulded stone above, worded 'HAWKLYMUIR FACTORY', windows to flanking bays at each floor. Truncated, shouldered wallhead stack over centre bay.

E ELEVATION: 10-bay. Pedimented and pilastered doorcases to bays 2 and 6 at ground, all other bays with bipartite window. Shouldered, coped ashlar wallhead stack to outer left.

All openings blocked. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks.
