Description

18th century. Single storey, 5-bay, piend-roofed cottage. Rubble with large dressed ashlar quoins.

SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: boarded timber door off-centre left, with flanking windows and further boarded timber doors to outer bays; small traditional rooflight to outer right.

NE ELEVATION: asymmetrical fenestration and small piended projection to left of centre.

Some small-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Angus stone slate roof. Red brick ridge stacks, that to N corbelled and with thackstanes.

Statement of Interest

Property of Strathmore Estates (Holding) Ltd. At the time of the OSA, 'Arnefont' was a hamlet of '80 souls'. Group with NW, SW and '1677' cottages.
