Description

Later 19th century. Single storey, 3-bay T-plan gate lodge. Whinstone; contrasting quoins and dressings. Timber bracketed eaves.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central advanced timber boarded gabled entrance porch; timber door; letterbox fanlight; flanking bipartite windows.

S (SIDE) ELEVATION: single window to left of gable; modern window to recessed gabled bay to rear.

Predominantly 4-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; coped brick ridge stacks; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.

Statement of Interest

A good example of later 19th century estate architecture. Of particular interest is the timber gabled entrance porch.
