Description

Late 17th century (shaft and steps) sundial, replacement polygonal dial, 1889. Circular stone steps (approximately 10 feet in diameter). Ionic-capitalled column carved with spiralling vines; ovolo moulding; polygonal faced dial; cup hollows to alternative faces; ball finial at apex.

Sundial is notable for its unusual polygonal faced form and carved column (moved to this site from Castle Kennedy).
