Early 20th century. 3-storey, 5-bay (grouped 2-1-2) tenement forming part of terrace. Polished red ashlar. Base course; ground floor cornice; moulded band course between 1st and 2nd floors; curved moulded deep parapet frieze; canted oriel windows to outer bays at 1st and 2nd floors; strip-moulded central wallhead stack.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 3 square-headed central entrances at ground; 2-leaf timber doors to outer entrances, single timber door to central entrance with flanking side-lights; protruding cornice separates letterbox fanlights; bipartite windows to outer bays. Single windows at 1st and 2nd floor to penultimate bays to outer right and left; canted outer bays.
Predominantly plate glass timber sash and case windows; some modern glazing. Roof (unseen); corniced wallhead and gablehead stacks; circular cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
B Group with 49-53 (Odd Nos), 55-63 (Odd Nos), 71-75 (Odd Nos), 77-85 (Odd Nos) Dalblair Road and 54-62 (Even Nos) Alloway Street (see separate list descriptions). This grouping forms a distinctive early 20th century streetscape with its canted bays and high parapets, distinguished predominantly by Nos 77-85 Dalblair Road and 54-62 Alloway Street with its aedicules and balustraded parapet.
