Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 4-bay tenement. Sandstone rubble; ashlar dressings. Base course; eaves course; cornice; strip quoins. Painted margins to openings.

NE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: square-headed entrances to outer left and penultimate bay to right; timber doors; narrow letterbox fanlight to No 18; single windows aligned above at 1st floor (square, smaller window to outer left); regular fenestration to remaining bays at ground and 1st floor. 2 piended dormers at attic.

12-pane timber sash and case windows at ground floor; predominantly modern glazing at 1st floor; plate glass timber sash and case windows at attic. Grey slate roof; coped brick ridge stacks; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

Statement of Interest

A good example of early 19th century housing, adjacent to the higher Nos 22 and 24 Fullarton Street (see separate list description).
