Description

Late 19th century; later 19th century alterations. 3-storey, 2-bay tenement. Polished red sandstone ashlar, painted at 1st floor. Deep 1st floor cill course; moulded 2nd floor cill course; eaves course; cornice; blocking course.

SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central entrance to shop to left; 2-leaf modern glazed door; letterbox fanlight; timber door to entrance to outer right; Regular fenestration to upper floors; pedimented 1st floor windows.

4-pane timber sash and case windows at 1st and 2nd floors. Grey slate roof; coped stacks; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

Statement of Interest

'Victoria Buildings' plaque between windows at 1st floor. Change in materials and window surrounds at 2nd floor suggests this storey was a later addition.
