Later 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 3-bay tenement with classical detailing. Coursed grey granite ashlar. Architraved 1st and 2nd floor windows, with corniced bracketed cills; eaves cornice and band course.
SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical; decorative doorpiece to centre of ground floor, doorway flanked by Tuscan columns, panelled timber door, tall fanlight above, surmounted by fake balcony on elaborate brackets with iron railing; modern shop fronts flanking doorway to left and right at ground floor. 2 pairs of windows to each bay of 1st and 2nd floors. Pair of segmental-arched windows breaking eaves with curvilinear roof to centre of attic floor, segmental-arched hoodmoulds, decorative patera set in gablehead, stone finial to apex, flanked by 2 corbelled-out wallhead stacks. Venetian dormers to flanking bays to left and right.
NE AND SW ELEVATIONS: obscured by adjoining buildings.
NW ELEVATION: not seen 2000.
Predominantly 2-pane timber sash and case windows; replacement PVCu windows to 2nd floor. Grey slate mansard roof with lead ridges. Coped stone skews with moulded skewputts. Corniced gablehead and wallhead stacks. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIOR: not seen 2000.
Well detailed granite building in prominent position looking along Holburn Street. The doorpiece is particularly grand, as are the Venetian dormers at attic floor.
