Later 18th century. 1 ? storey 3-bay rectangular-plan house; symmetrical fenestration. Coursed tooled rubble, yellow sandstone; long and short quoins and dressings, plain skews.
SW (MAIN) ELEVATION: central doorway, stone cill and dressings; rectangular window flanking, tooled rybats and cills, down-pipes to either side; three flush slated gable dormers to ? storey, tooled stone fronts, replacement stone gableheads, small stone skews; bipartite window to central dormer, chamfered stone mullion, stone plaque in gablehead.
NW ELEVATION: blind coursed rubble gable; harled stone chimney stack to gablehead, stone neck cope, replacement pair hexagonal cans.
NE (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen, 2000.
SE ELEVATION: adjoining adjacent cottage; harled stone chimney stack to gablehead, stone cope, three plain cans.
12-pane timber sash and case windows, 4-pane single lights to front centre. Grey slate roof, replacement ridge tiles. Black painted cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIOR: not seen, 2000.
The style of the building is similar to No 47 Main Street, now a guesthouse. The house is traditionally constructed, and fits well within the villagescape. The area surrounding the door suggests later remodelling of the ground floor.
