Description

George Fox, 1859-63. 4-storey 7-bay tenement with shops to ground floor and flat-arched pend to centre (Porteous Pend). Droved ashlar with polished dressings (painted to ground). Base course, continuous fascia and cornice to ground floor; cill band to 1st floor; dividing band between 2nd and 3rd floors; eaves cornice. Stop-chamfered openings to ground floor; raised architraves to windows above; bracketed cills to 2nd floor; gabletted dormerheads with rectangular carved panels to 3rd floor windows. Original shop fronts with 2-leaf timber panelled storm doors and recessed glazed inner doors.

12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Brick stacks with circular cans.
