Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, symmetrical, rectangular-plan house. Pilastered and pedimented doorway. Yellow ashlar sandstone. Base course, string dividing 1st and 2nd floor, eaves course, cornice and blocking course, raised quoins, roll-moulded architrave to principal openings. Predominately bipartite windows with stone mullions.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: entrance to centre, flanking pilasters, entablature, pediment, letterbox fanlight. Regular fenestration with single light above door.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: large advanced 2-storey, gabled bay to centre, irregular fenestration, chimney stack to apes of gable; flanking regularly fenestrated single bays. Concrete coal shed abutted to centre rear.

SW (SIDE) ELEVATION: single window at 1st floor rear. Single storey flat-roofed addition to centre; round-headed tall window and door to right return, cornice and blocking course.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows at ground, modern double glazing to 1st floor. Grey slates, lead flashing. Gable stacks.

INTERIOR: sub-divided into 2 flats.

GATEPIERS: painted square stone piers with pyramidal caps before main door and driveway.
