Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey, rectangular-plan, irregular terrace of 3 improved cottages, originally 4. Harled whinstone and slate rubble. Generally regular fenestration. Grey slates, lead flashing, regular coped stacks with clay cans.

NO 11: SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 4 -bay, door to centre, 3rd bay, door to bay far right. NE (REAR) ELEVATION: regular fenestration.

NW (SIDE) ELEVATION: obscured by abutting wooden lean-to passageway roof and door. Metal-framed, plate glass windows. Felt roofing, rooflights.

INTERIOR: not seen 2001.

NO 11A: SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 4-bay, modern timber and glazed door to 2nd bay. NE (REAR) ELEVATION: regular fenestration. Metal-framed, plate glass windows. Felt roofing, rooflights. INTERIOR: not seen 2001.

NO 11B: SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 4-bay, modern timber and glazed door 3rd aby to right of centre, narrower window to outer 4th bay.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: regular fenestration.

SW (SIDE) ELEVATION: not seen 2001.Metal-framed, plate glass windows. Felt roofing, rooflights.

INTERIOR: not seen 2001.

The front elevation of the terrace forms the NE side of the

main square on Easdale. Through which, the main route on the island leads from the harbour past the terrace to the island museum or inn. An owners' group plans restoration of the roof, windows and wallhead. For further information see separate listing for 1 Easdale Island.
