Description

Probably Alexander Johnston, 1875-77. Pyramidally-coped square-section ashlar gatepiers with chamfered arrises flanking 2-leaf decorative ironwork gates, outer pedestrian openings (also with gates) with ashlar cornice and shell detail, further piers beyond giving way to low saddleback-coped quadrants with inset railings and outer piers.
