James Thomson, late 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay corner tenement with shops at ground. Attic storey to corner bay with pedimented oculi to centre. Painted ashlar sandstone courses. Channelled quoins between bays, base course, dentil moulded dividing band between ground and upper storey, eaves course with consoled projecting cornice. Consoled projecting window cills.
W (SOUTH BRIDGE STREET) ELEVATION: 3-bay, bowed corner entrance bay to left, modern shop front to ground. Blind semicircular arch above large plate glass window, supporting scrollwork cresting with acanthus to centre. Advanced canted window to upper storey, bowed corner bay to left with consoled and panelled dado. Attic storey bracketed chimneys flanking central semicircular pediment on fluted parapet, oculi to centre, acanthus scroll cresting.
E (SIDE) ELEVATION: obscured by abutting building.
N (EAST HIGH STREET): mirror of W except ground floor crested blind arch to centre and door to far left.
S (SIDE) ELEVATION: partially obscured by abutting building.
4-pane, timber sash and case windows to upper storey, plate glass shop fronts to ground. Grey slates, lead flashing, lead roof to attic. Coped skews, urn-finialed, consoled skewputts, coped skews, coped gable stack to E.
INTERIOR: modern retail interior to ground, refurbished offices to upper storey.
