Description

Circa 1890. Plain gothic, T-plan, gabled church. Twin bipartite lancet windows to S elevation. Yellow ashlar sandstone. Clasped buttresses to nave rising to pinnacles breaking eaves. Base course, eaves course. Chamfered reveals to lancet windows.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central, 2-leaf timber, pointed arch door to central slightly projected porch; roll-moulded to reveal with multiple nook-shafts; blind arrow slit to gablehead; cross-finial at apex of gable. Pair of large, bipartite, geometric traceried lancets above. Jettied gablehead with blind arrow slits, stone cross finial at apex of gable. Flanking clasped buttresses terminating in gabletted pinnacles breaking eaves with fleur-de-lis finials at apex. Paired small lancets to outer bays terminating in clasped buttresses.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 2001.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: 5-bay, tall lancets, clapsed buttresses, harled.

W (SIDE) ELEVATION: mirror of E.

Square pane -leaded glass. Grey slates, lead flashing. Coped skews. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen 2001.
