Description

1861. Milepost on Glasgow Road. Single stage, rectangular, slightly bow-fronted cast-iron post with embossed pointing hands, names and miles. Set into low semicircular-coped wall between Nos 13 and 15 Glasgow Road. Detailed 'GLASGOW ROYAL EXCHANGE 7' BALFRON 12' 'ABERFOIL (sic) 19'.
