Description

Probably 1820-40. Terrace of 4 single storey, centre-doored 3-bay cottages set back from main road, incorporating a former smithy. Roughly squared rubble, ashlar lintels. Some openings blocked; evidence of larger openings now blocked at N end cottage - presumably the former smithy. Cottage 3rd from left has blocked door, and presumably now forms part of neighbouring house(s). 3 doors; almost square windows close under eaves, with 4-pane glazing pattern and painted margins. Piended, grey slated roof with 3 brick ridge stacks.

Statement of Interest
