Earlier 18th century. 2-storey 3-bay former coach-house, now converted to residential accommodation. Grey harl with sandstone dressings.
N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: modern doorway in segmental-arched former carriage entrance; flat-roofed dormer breaking eaves above. No windows to right; small window to ground and larger to 1st floor to left.
S ELEVATION: long and short quoins and stone skews to slightly advanced pedimented bay to centre with tripartite window to ground and oculus above.
Small-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Modern glazed doors to E and W elevations. Graded grey slates. 2 ridge stacks.
Although converted to residential accommodation the building retains significance as part of the ensemble of Murrayfield House, built in 1735 for Archibald Murray, probably by John Douglas. Earlier maps show an avenue of trees leading down the line of the present Succoth Avenue, and a walled garden to the south of the building.
