Description

Mid 19th century. Single storey and attic, lodge. Stugged, squared and snecked sandstone, ashlar margins and dressing; base course; chamfered reveals; eaves moulding; ashlar mulllions and transoms.

MAIN (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 3-bay. Gable to outer left, canted window at ground, stone ashlar roof; window above; thistle finial. Narrow door slightly advanced to right, letterbox fanlight; transomed and mullioned window at ground outer right.

SIDE ELEVATION: broad gable, transomed and mullioned window at ground, window above.

REAR ELEVATION: tall shouldered wallhead stack at centre; single storey gabled service wing advanced at centre ground.

Modern timber plate glass windows. Grey slate roof, red tile ridging; ashlar coping to skews; ball finials to skewputts. Ashlar coped apex stacks; wallhead stack at rear.

BOUNDARY WALL, GATES, GATEPIERS AND RAILINGS: ashlar piers at centre with stop-chamfered arrises, conical caps; pedestrian gate to left; decorative cast-iron gates; swept to low plinth curved wall, decorative cast-iron railings; terminal piers, ball finial.
