History

A C17 or C18 cottage.

Exterior

A 1½-storey 2-window cottage in a single range with No 29, of whitened pebble-dashed front, slate roof and shared roughcast stack to the R. The entrance on the L side is reached up modern stone steps with iron handrail, to a C20 replacement half-glazed panel door. To its R is a 3-light small-pane casement window, replacing a shallow modern bow window recorded in the previous survey of 1975. Two gabled half dormers have renewed casement windows. Behind is a later rear wing.

Interior

Not inspected.

Reasons for Listing

Listed, notwithstanding window and door replacement, as one of a pair with No 29 of rare-surviving pre C19 cottages in the town, and for group value within the historical townscape.
