History

Early C19 terraced front. Formerly the Trustee Savings Bank and in 1926 premises of S. Bowler grocer. Upper floors converted to flats.

Exterior

Terraced house, painted stucco with slate roof and moulded cornice with paired brackets. Brick renewed left end stack. Four storeys, three- window range offset to left. Windows in raised plain shouldered surrounds. Square 4-pane sashes to top floor, long 8-pane sashes to two main floors. Modern shop front on ground floor with recessed house entry to left, encased by thin outer piers and fascia. C20 aluminium door.

Interior

Ground floor interior all altered.

Reasons for Listing

Included for special architectural interest as a Georgian style terraced house front.
