History

Early to mid C19 end terraced house. Building on this site on 1844 tithe map.

Exterior

End-terraced house, colourwashed stucco cladding with imitation slate roof and stone end stacks, right stack shared. Two-storey, 3-window range of 4-pane sash windows, slightly larger on ground floor, and central doorway with diagonally ledged door. Openings with eared surrounds and doorway also with moulded keystone.
Front garden surrounded by low wall of stone rubble with rough stucco cladding, rounded coping and pyramidal-capped gate piers. Since 1978 slate steps into garden and slate path to doorway described in previous listing no longer extant. Also roof is no longer grouted cement.

Reasons for Listing

Included as an earlier C19 terraced house, of group value with No 45 adjoining.
