History

Earlier C19 shop with accomodation over. A building shown on this site on 1844 tithe map.

Exterior

Terraced shop with accommodation, colourwashed stucco cladding with imitation slate roof and rendered end stacks. Two-storey 2-window front. Two roof lights, 2-12-pane sash windows to upper storey and plate glass shop window with paired doors to left. Shop window has timber surround with cornice on console brackets. One door leads to shop and the other, to left, to accommodation, each with 2 steps up from the pavement. Both have C20 doors and plain overlights. In right end wall, which overlooks pavement as No 10 is set back, a small attic window, 4-pane sash window on first floor and plate glass window below.
Since 1978 cemented roof has been replaced.
