History

Circa 1890.

Exterior

Terrace of 11 houses, stepping up road. Three storeys, red brick with bathstone dressings (mainly painted), roofs mainly replaced in tiles or slate substitute, red brick chimneys. Mainly original sash glazing but replaced at Nos 17, 19, 21 and (partially) at No 22.

Each building has on second floor, to L, tripartite window under stone lintel, to R window with stone lintel; sill course steps up with buildings. On second floor, to L, splayed bay window slightly recessed under segmental brick arch with keystone; to R, window with stone cornice above which is round brick arch with keystone. On ground floor to L, bathstone splayed bay set slightly forward of that above with balustrade and pediment, 2 segmentally-headed windows to front, single segmentally-headed window to splays; to R entrance doorway flanked by pilasters segmental head (with balustrade over), panelled door with overlight.
