History

Circa 1865 pair of semi-detached houses.

Exterior

Three storeys plus attic behind low parapet; stucco, banded to ground floor, tiled roof, gabled dormers, horned sash glazing (but L house has top floor L casement window). Some details of No 67 obscured in conversion to restaurant.

Four bays with central 2 bays slightly advanced articulated by pilasters which run up as acroteria, each bay with, on second floor, paired square-headed windows in architrave; on first floor Venetian window; on ground floor, splayed bay window. End bays have second floor window with architrave; first floor window with architrave and pierced balcony; ground floor has entrance doorway with moulded surround and cornice, door with rectangular overlight.

Reasons for Listing

Part of relatively unspoilt terrace opposite main open space in Walter Road.
