History

Mid C19 terraced house, apparently not marked on 1844 tithe map.

Exterior

Terraced house, stucco cladding lined as ashlar, with imitation slate close-eaved roof, the eaves and ridge higher than No 35. Ridge line similar to No 39 but eaves slightly lower, crested ridge tiles and shared rendered end stacks. Two-storey, 3-window elevation offset to right, upper floor with 3-4-pane sash windows with peripheral glazing bars and ground floor with similar window to left, centre doorway and large 6-pane sash window with peripheral glazing bars to right. C20 plastic door with plain overlight, slate step up to door. Raised plinth.

Included as an example of a mid C19 terraced house which retains basic character and for group value with Nos 39 and 41.
