Church of All Saints

A Grade I Listed Building in Twin Rivers, East Riding of Yorkshire

Larger view of Usflete shield.

Uploader's Comments

This is an enlargement of the Usflete shield, twice quartered with 3 fleur-de-lis's and the background-field is the pelt (fur) ermine.
Top right quarter is Furnival with 6 martlets (small birds). Bottom left is Wentworth with 3 leopard's faces/heads, an Elizabeth Wentworth having married Francis Haldenby. The correct tinctures for Furnival and Wentworth are not used/known in this case.
This folio-page is number 406, collection Bradfer-Lawrence MD 335/13/1, date: c.1703 and before/after (at the Yorkshire Arch. Society, Leeds.).
Note: some folio-pages to said collection are now missing.

Kind regards,
Raymond & Marie Ella, (Mr.& Mrs.).
