Row of 3 cottages. Late C17 or early C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Roughcast
cob on stone footings. Some brick patching; gabled-end asbestos and slate roofs.
Originally a row of 2-room, single depth plan cottages heated by axial stacks with
plastered brick shafts; no.1 is larger than the others and incorporates a former
barn at the right-hand end of the row. 2 storeys.
Front: with the exception of the converted barn (with glazed porch), mostly C19
casement windows, the 6 to the 1st floor early C19, 8 panes per light; 6 similar
windows to ground floor, some replaced. No.4 retains parts of 2 late C17 or early
C18 chamfered window surrounds. 2 front doors (to nos. 3 and 4) with simple
canopies supported by struts.
Rear: with small 1st floor windows, C19 and C20 casements set in the original
embrasures.
Interior: No.4 only inspected internally: one deeply chamfered cross ceiling beam
with one roughly cut run-out stop.
