A Grade II* Listed Building in Beeby, Leicestershire

Church of All Saints, Beeby

Partly worn inscribed slab. The lady's clothes and shoes are clear. The inscription is Latin (the characters 'u+ov' read as uxor = wife, and 'obiit' = died). But where has the husband gone? Swept away over the centuries while the wife hid under some furniture or fittings, I expect. (Photo May 2007).
