Uploader's Comments

Early Swithland slate headstone by the same hand that engraved Dorathie Halls. The stone is the same size and colour. The lettering is of identical size and proportion and HE is again a ligature. N is engraved conventionally. The spelling of the names preserves the local accent of the time. -Here lyeth interred the body of Iohn Prier the sonne of Robart Prier who departed this life the 8th day of May 1673-.
