Statue at head of ornamental garden steps 50m south-west of Harlaxton Manor

The pedestal is from the original building of the Manor. The statue dates from 1948 to 1966 when Jesuits had the Manor. Behind the statue is the 'Dutch Canal' a rectangular pond whose main purpose was to delight the eye with a reflected view of the Manor's cupola. (Photo Aug 2007).
