GV II

House. c1840. Stucco with Welsh slate roof with ridge
cresting. Picturesque Tudor gothic style, 2 storeys,
asymetrically-planned. Elevation to street comprises 3
irregular gables projecting from parallel ranges to east with
recessed gable to left housing entrance. Panelled door with
overlight in 4-centred archway with cross emblem recessed
above. Flat-roofed C20 extension across left-hand gable end,
and 2-light wood mullioned window over. 2 oriel windows at
first floor in right-hand advanced gables. Elevation to
Esplanade has wide gable to right and 2-bay range terminating
in octagonal turret. Paired 12-pane sashes with continuous
hood mould over in left hand range, canted bay window with
gothic mullioned and transomed lights in gable. Axial and end
wall stacks with slim octagonal shafts.
