End of terrace house with later shop. Probably C18 with later
alterations. Stucco with slate roof and dormer. 3 storeys and
attic. 2 windows. C20 half-glazed doorway with overlight. To
right a wide sash display window with exposed frame. Moulded
string at 1st floor level. 1st floor, 12-pane hornless sashes
with exposed frames; 2nd floor, 2-light casements. INTERIOR
not inspected. The Royal Britannia Hotel, Nos 3 & 4 and Nos
8-12 (consec) Broad Street (qv) form a group with Nos 1 & 2
The Strand (qv).
