C16 cottage of square timber framing. Two bays and added south bay. Visible framing
with plaster filling on east wall, brick skin on west. High pitched tiled roof
with long hipped north end. South end probably at first a lean-to, now raised
to full height with gabled end. Most timber visible inside including side-purlin
roof with wind braces and queen post truss, jowled posts. Some carpenters' marks.
At right a mid C19 projecting gabled bay stuccoed and with date (1850?) in sunk
roundel and painted name, CULLEN. Below this a complete contemporary double shop
front with original glazing, now concealed from read by later projecting one-storey
shop building but visible inside this shop.
