Here lyeth the body of Robert Askwith late alderman and twice lord-mayor of this city, borne at Potgrange, who dyed the lxvii yere of his age, and on the xviii day of August, 1597, leaving behind him four sons and two daughters, viz. Robert, Elizabeth, Katherine, Thomas, George and Philip. Being in his life tyme for good hospitality, and other laudable parts, a credit and ornament to this city.
