SU 67 NW BASILDON UPPER BASILDON

1/13 Pond Cottage

G.V. II

Cottage. Mid to late C17 with C19 refacing and additions. Timber framed with
plinth, and later planted timber and rendered facing. Tile roof, half hipped
to right, with end stack to left, catslide to rear, and later addition to right
at rear with 2 gabled dormers. One storey and garret with 1½ storey addition.
2 framed bays. Two 2-light leaded casements with boarded shutters flanking
central 2-leaf boarded door with glazed and leaded window and C20 gabled
timber porch.
